With so many companies selling such a huge variety of water treatment equipment, it’s very difficult to know which system is the right one for you.  In the process of designing our system, we consulted a number of water treatment professionals to see what they use in their homes and to ask their opinions on what makes a good system that they would be comfortable recommending to their own friends and family.  The consensus was surprisingly simple.

pH Neutral Water

The service technicians all agreed that reverse osmosis is the best way to remove Total Dissolved Solids.  Sediment and carbon filtration alone may help with the taste but leave behind a significant amount of undesirable contaminants.  RO systems can remove more than 95% of dissolved solids from tap water, leaving very pure water, ideal for drinking and cooking.  The only problem with traditional RO systems is that the filtration process produces acidic water.

To combat the pH problem, we’ve added calcium carbonate to the water with calcite, a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media from crushed and screened white marble.  It can be used to effectively balance acidic or low pH water to a neutral, less corrosive state. Its self-limiting property corrects pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium.  Acidic water, upon contact with Calcite, slowly dissolves the calcium carbonate to raise pH back to neutral levels.

High Quality System Components

In addition, the manufacturers polled say the difference between a low-end, store-bought system and a system they would recommend is the quality of the components and the warranty.  A unit assembled with poor quality components may be cheap but is at higher risk of leaking and could end up being a service nightmare.

Our system is made in Gilbert, Arizona with the most reliable components on the market to provide great tasting, healthy, pH neutral drinking water from the best quality equipment possible.
